View from Mt. Battie is breathtaking. You can hike or drive to the top. The hike is 1.5 mi and somewhat vertical. So if you're not up taking an hour hike you might consider driving. Either way, the view is very worth it. The lower park is very easy to access with steps going to the shore. Both times we have been here, the restrooms at the lower park have been locked. However, there are restrooms at the top of Mt Battie.

I camped here for 3 nights. The campground is good. The campsites aren't very private, but you also aren't on top of each other. The bathrooms are great. Showers are free. There are lots of hiking opportunities. Ocean is accessible from across the street. No beach here, but there are two nearby. Camden has a lot to do, shopping wise. I saw "Romeo and Juliet" at the Camden Shakespeare Festival while in town.

A Maine gem. A fairly short hike along a well marked trail ends in scenic views of Camden Maine’s harbor. For longer hikes and other views of Maine mountains, there are more trails to explore. Our families’ go-to location for a quick, rewarding hike.

Nice campground. Fairly hot showers, nice sites, and well maintained. A bit pricey for a State Park Campground. We paid $40 a night for basic/bare bones site. Nice bike ride into town, real close to shops/restaurants and the Mt. Battie trail. I would agree with another reviewer that not all sites are level and we parked our RV (20ft) on what should have been just a tent site. We showed up last minute, and they told us to just drive on the grass. It was okay, but we almost got stuck trying to gain traction out of the site. Make sure you check the site before agreeing to park an RV at it. That being said, we would stay again.

I loved my stay at Camden State Park, I wish I could have stayed longer...The staff is very nice and welcoming. The park us nicely laid out, not a bad site in the place. The bathrooms are a but old, but awesome water pressure in the showers! Good showers automatically earn you 5 stars in. My book, yes I am really that easy to please! I hope to come back in the fall
